Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks an Automation Engineer to design and run scalable test automation for UI, API, and end-to-end testing. You will implement API/backend automation, drive BDD adoption with Cucumber/Gherkin, and weave automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

You will mentor engineers, lead from requirements to production readiness, and help shape automation strategy. Strong experience with Playwright, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern DevOps tools is expected, along with cloud/dockers/Kubernetes,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
2–3 years of relevant work experience with programming concepts and automation.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
Develop and execute automated test solutions using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Playwright.
Implement API and backend automation strategies with service validation and integration testing.
Lead adoption of BDD practices using Cucumber/Gherkin to improve collaboration and test coverage.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
Lead automation projects from requirements to production readiness with minimal supervision.
Mentor engineers through code reviews and engineering standards.
