Job summary

CANPACK Group is seeking a Subject Matter Expert for high-volume, high-speed manufacturing automation. The role ensures operational stability and efficiency of automation systems, robotics, and control software across plant processes.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of PLC programming and troubleshooting experience in a fast-paced environment, strong communication, and the ability to train staff. Must be proficient with Allen-Bradley PLCs and related HMI systems, with solid project-management

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• 5–8 years programming and troubleshooting experience with PLC automation.
• Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, project management and technical skills.
• Extensive knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC systems and Systems Control Technologies.
• Proficient in programming and modification of PLCs and HMIs.
• Ability to communicate with staff, vendors and management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, monitor, and maintain automation hardware, operating systems, and application software to drive plant KPIs.
• Troubleshoot and provide technical support for automated manufacturing processes and equipment including line control and robotic systems.
• Specify and procure replacement parts and maintenance contracts.
• Assess options for technology and equipment across manufacturing operations.
• Evaluate and test new/modified software and verify programs meet user requirements.
• Assist in procurement and integrate new equipment and modify automation software for material handling, production processing, and packaging.
• Create and maintain hardware documentation for automation equipment.
• Develop or modify programs for process control, robotics, and HMIs.
• Maintain backup programs for control processors, robotics, HMIs, and data systems.
• Conduct technology research and provide recommendations.
• Install and configure new hardware/software and provide training and support as needed.
