InstantServe LLC in Research Triangle Park, NC is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead infrastructure automation, builds, deployments, and CI/CD improvements across multiple environments.

The ideal candidate will automate Linux patching and deployments with Ansible, develop scripts in Python/Bash, and manage Docker/Kubernetes packaging and orchestration. Strong AWS knowledge is highly desirable for this contract role.

Formación

• 7+ years automating Linux patching, upgrades, and deployments with Ansible or similar tools.
• 7+ years automating application build/deploys incl. DB changes.
• 7+ years scripting automation with Python, Bash, or Shell.
• 4+ years Terraform/Ansible, infra provisioning and CM.
• 3+ years Git or Bitbucket source control.
• 2+ years Docker & Kubernetes.
• 2+ years CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, TeamCity, or Ansible.
• Strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead automation for infrastructure provisioning, builds, deployments, and operations.
• Automate Linux patching, upgrades, and configuration management with Ansible.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and utilities in Python, Bash, and Shell.
• Automate deployments and DB changes across environments.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, TeamCity, and Ansible.
• Manage source control with Git or Bitbucket.
• Support Docker packaging and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Use Terraform and Ansible for provisioning and environment management.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, deployment teams, and DBAs to improve release reliability.
• Provide on-call support during evenings and weekends.
