Job summary

V-Soft Consulting Group, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to design and maintain Ansible playbooks and automation scripts for reliable deployments.

You will collaborate with DevOps and application teams to enhance CI/CD workflows, manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes, and automate patching and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and Ansible. Qualifications

• Proficient in creating and maintaining Ansible playbooks and troubleshooting automation issues.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, Ansible Tower/AWX, YAML, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Experience automating Linux OS patches and upgrades using automation tools like Ansible.
• Hands-on with containerization and CI/CD workflows using Docker, Kubernetes, and Git-based workflows.
• Experience with building and packaging applications and managing code in Bitbucket/Git.
• Experience automating build/deploy processes including database changes using Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Ansible playbooks and automation scripts.
• Troubleshoot automation issues and ensure reliable deployments across environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to enhance CI/CD workflows.
