Job summary

PetSmart in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Automation Developer to independently design, develop, and support scalable automation solutions and lead complex workflow initiatives from requirements through deployment and operational support.

This hybrid role is based at the Phoenix Home Office with a minimum of four in-office days per week and up to one remote “flex day” with leader approval. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 4+ years of automation design, development and implementation experience.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and ability to work with team members and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Identify automation opportunities, gather requirements, and design optimal solutions with stakeholders.
• Lead design, development, testing, and deployment of complex automation solutions with minimal oversight.
• Build and maintain reliable workflows using UiPath, Alteryx, Databricks, Snowflake, and related automation capabilities.
• Support production deployments, monitoring, and root-cause analysis to ensure workflow stability.
