Job summary

Zoetis, Inc. in Lithia Springs, GA, seeks a Sr. Automation Engineer to manage on-site instrumentation and control systems (BMS, PMS, EMS, PCS) ensuring GMP and regulatory compliance. You will drive architecture design, life-cycle management, and IT/OT integration while supporting audits and SOPs.

The role demands PLC/SCADA/DCS expertise, strong collaboration with maintenance and vendors, and a focus on project delivery and continuous improvement across the site's automation landscape.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems in GMP environments.
• Proficient in PLC programming, SCADA, and DCS technologies.
• Knowledge of ISA-88, ISA-95, GAMP standards and FDA/cGMP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Gatekeep standards for new system architecture design and support installation of instrumentation and control systems.
• Support maintaining Automation master plan for the site to manage Automation base.
• Manage life cycle and change control for automation systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Provide support to maintenance teams for troubleshooting instruments and control systems.
• Develop training programs for instrumentation and control systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and consultants to ensure contract compliance.
• Stay updated on instrumentation and control technology and apply applicable advances.
• Interface with users and management to align local and corporate standards.
• Provide technical expertise during regulatory audits for compliance.
• Author, review, or approve SOPs as required.
• Support end-to-end implementation of automation infrastructure from conception to completion.
• Assist with Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests for automation.
