Job summary

Atlas Energy Solutions Inc. seeks a Senior Automation Engineer to lead automation design and development using Ignition and Allen-Bradley ControlLogix. You will shape standards, mentor engineers, and ensure reliable delivery across plant and field environments.

You will collaborate with IT and Operations, work across on-prem and cloud setups, and travel to multiple Texas sites. Strong programming, integration, and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in engineering, CS, IT, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience with industrial automation systems.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and Studio 5000.
• Knowledge of Ignition Perspective and/or Vision.
• Proficiency with Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, Modbus TCP, MQTT.
• Experience with on-premises and cloud environments for VM hosts and applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions using Ignition and Allen-Bradley ControlLogix.
• Lead the technical implementation of automation projects from design through commissioning.
• Troubleshoot automation, controls, and SCADA issues across on-premises and cloud environments.
