Job summary

Amgen is building a state-of-the-art FleX batch drug substance facility in North Carolina. We seek a Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer: Automation - DeltaV to lead automation efforts for the GMP Drug Substance Plant Operations.

You will work with a cross-functional team on complex automation projects, from design through commissioning, validation, and lifecycle management, including IV/ACO activities and 24x7 on-site support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• Experience with DeltaV DCS and process control in GMP environment preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain DeltaV-based process control systems.
• Collaborate with SMEs to translate process requirements into automation solutions.
• Support validation, change controls, deviations, and CAPAs in a GMP setting.
• Provide 24x7 operational support for automation systems and ensure data integrity.
