Job summary

CRB, an established AEC firm in California, seeks a Senior Automation Engineer to lead the development and field implementation of control systems for large, complex projects.

You will guide design teams through all project phases, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with clients and partners to ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance across life sciences and food/bev facilities.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in a relevant discipline (ChemE, ME or EE).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in a design firm setting.
• Knowledge of control system application software development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with clients and external partners.
• Plans and directs work and manages a project budget from a discipline design perspective on large complex projects.
• Supports Project Manager in proposal development, man-hour planning and project scheduling for the discipline scope of work on large/complex projects.
• Conducts field surveys of existing conditions and supports field reporting.
• Develops construction drawing packages and writes construction specifications on complex projects.
• Provides mentorship to Engineers I–III and Designers I–II.
• Leads a team of discipline staff in the execution of advanced projects and engineering.
