The role involves developing PLC logic, multi-node HMI/SCADA graphics, electrical schematics, FAT testing, and client presentations. About 30% travel to client sites or regional offices; location flexible near a major U.S.

Formación

• 7+ years of PLC/PAC logic design and programming (IEC-61131).

Responsabilidades

• Prepare I/O lists, network architectures, and control narratives; integrate systems using serial and Ethernet industrial protocols.
• Lead FAT, support field commissioning, and present technical solutions to clients.
• Approximately 30% national travel to client sites, regional offices, and project locations.

Location: Based close to any major U.S. airport

We are seeking an experienced Senior Controls Design Engineer to lead the end-to-end design and development of complex HVAC and industrial control systems. You will focus on PLC logic, HMI/SCADA architecture, and electrical control systems engineering using leading automation platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming & Architecture: Develop PLC logic and design multi-node HMI/SCADA architectures, graphics, and standards.
• Electrical Design: Create and review detailed electrical control schematics, panel designs, and bills of materials.
• Documentation & Integration: Prepare I/O lists, network architectures, and control narratives; integrate systems using serial and Ethernet industrial protocols.
• Testing & Support: Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), support field commissioning, and present technical solutions to clients.
• Travel: Approximately 30% national travel to client sites, regional offices, and project locations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of PLC/PAC logic design and programming experience (IEC-61131).
• 7+ years of HMI/SCADA system design experience.
• 5+ years of electrical design experience for control panels and industrial automation.
• Proficiency with industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, etc.).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications from Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider Electric, or Inductive Automation (Ignition Core/Gold).
• ISA CAP certification or familiarity with UL 508A Industrial Control Panels.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety certification.
