Cognify Global is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead design, development, and implementation of industrial automation and control systems. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and software teams to deliver high-performance solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial controls and automation.
• Experience with PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, etc.).
• Experience with HMI/SCADA development.
• Knowledge of motion control, servo systems, and VFD integration.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems architecture for industrial equipment and automation systems.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial robotics.
• Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and I/O lists.
• Lead system integration, testing, and commissioning activities (on-site and remote).
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and project scope.
• Support proposal development, cost estimation, and technical documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve complex field issues and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for system performance and reliability.

This role is responsible for delivering high-performance, reliable control solutions while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, and software teams.

• Experience with motion control, servo systems, and VFD integration
• Ability to read and create electrical schematics
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Willingness to travel up to 30% as required
