Job summary

Accord Technologies Inc. in Raleigh, NC seeks a Senior Automation Engineer to lead automation for infrastructure provisioning, build, and deployment of client applications. The role requires strong AWS and CI/CD expertise and hands-on Ansible experience across environments.

You will design and maintain Ansible playbooks, troubleshoot deployments, and collaborate with DevOps and development teams to improve release reliability. On-call evenings/weekends are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience automating Linux OS and patches and upgrades across multiple environments using automation tools like Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with BitBucket or Git for Source Code Management (3+ years).
• 7+ years automating build/deploy processes including changes to databases using Ansible.
• Experience developing automation scripts, utilities and workflow scripts using Python/Bash/Shell (7+ years).
• 2+ years building and packaging applications with Docker and managing containerized workloads using Kubernetes.
• 4+ years infrastructure provisioning/configuration/environment management using Terraform and Ansible.
• 2+ years developing/managing CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity, Jenkins, Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation efforts for infrastructure provisioning, build and deploy activities for client applications.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of AWS infrastructure and software release life cycle.
• Create and maintain Ansible playbooks; troubleshoot automation issues to ensure reliable deployments.
• Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to enhance CI/CD workflows.
• Adhere to infrastructure-as-code best practices (YAML) and improve deployment reliability.
• Work with architects, developers, deployment teams and DBAs to automate tasks.
• Be on-call for evenings and weekends as required.

Job Title: Senior Automation engineer Location: Raleigh, NC Type: W2 Contract ***Only qualified Senior Automation engineer located near the Raleigh NC area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***
Required Experience Knowledge Abilities And Skills
Experience with automating Linux OS and software patches and upgrades across multiple environments using automations tools like Ansible (7+ Years)
Hands on Experience (like branching merging configuring and administering) with BitBucket or GIT Source Code Management Tool (3+ Years)
Hands on experience in Automating build/deploy process including changes to database using tools like Ansible (7+ Years)
Experience developing automation scripts operational utilities and workflow scripts using Python/Bash/Shell (7+ Years)
Experience building and packaging applications with Docker and managing and scaling containerized workloads using Kubernetes (2+ Years)
Experience in infrastructure provisioning configuration and environment management using Terraform and Ansible (4+ Years)
Hands on experience developing and managing CI/CD (DevOps) pipeline using tools like Teamcity Jenkins Ansible (2+ Years)

Job Responsibilities
The primary role is to lead Automation effort of infrastructure provisioning build and deploy activities for Client applications
This position must demonstrate a solid understanding of AWS infrastructure and software release life cycle
The role involves creating and maintaining Ansible playbooks troubleshooting automation issues ensuring consistent and reliable deployments across environments and collaborating with DevOps and application teams to enhance CI/CD workflows
Strong knowledge of Linux Ansible Tower/AWX YAML automation best practices and infrastructure-as-code principles is required
Experience with debugging deployments validating configurations and improving release reliability is a plus
The position will work with IT management to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuous integration and Continuous deployment (CI/CD) of application changes
This position will interact with the architect's developer's deployment Team and Database Administrators to ensure automation of various tasks
This position is required to be on call for evenings and weekends as required to meet business needs
