This is a hands-on, high-visibility position with influence across our entire operation. From modernizing legacy systems to implementing the latest in PLC and SCADA technologies, you’ll be the go-to expert in a plant that values initiative, reliability, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Own the automation roadmap – Set the vision, create standards, and lead the charge on smart factory transformation.
• Lead complex projects – From ideation through commissioning, drive key upgrades and new installations that impact safety, efficiency, and uptime.
• Empower the team – Train and mentor technicians on PLC diagnostics, automation principles, and safe practices.
• Be the expert – Use your advanced skills in Siemens (TIA Portal, Step 7) and Allen-Bradley (RSLogix) to integrate and optimize across modern and legacy equipment.
• Solve real problems – From heavy-duty machinery to precision systems, troubleshoot and improve the heartbeat of our operations.
• Ensure safety & compliance – Proactively drive adherence to OSHA, UL, and EMC standards across all automation projects.
• Stay agile – While based on day shift, be ready to respond when critical automation issues arise.

What We’re Looking For

• 10–20+ years of experience in automation, controls, and PLC programming, ideally in heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Deep expertise with Siemens and Allen-Bradley platforms, and comfort working with a mix of modern and vintage systems.
• A true leader and collaborator – someone who can mentor, problem-solve, and influence cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, adaptable mindset.
• Local availability or willingness to be close to the Clarks Summit plant and provide on-call support as needed.
