Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Automation Controls Specialist to optimize manufacturing automation and IIoT integration at the Space Coast facility in Titusville, FL. You will ensure reliability and continuous improvement of tooling in the Factory at Rocket Park, supporting production and quality goals.

The role requires extensive experience with CNC controls, PLCs, and industrial networking, plus collaboration with the Factory Automation team to enhance automated equipment across shifts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years developing, modifying, or troubleshooting industrial CNC control systems (Siemens 840D-SL, FANUC).
• 3+ years experience with controls and automation software environments (Siemens TIA Portal, FANUC PMC).
• 3+ years experience with automation control systems (PLCs, Robots, CNC).
• Familiarity with industrial safety systems (Siemens SI, FANUC DCS).
• Understanding of Functional Safety.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and modify electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and safety control systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and modify program logic.
• Connect and integrate new and existing equipment into Blue networks to support IIoT initiatives.
• Collaborate with Factory Automation team to optimize existing automated equipment.
