Job summary

Blue Origin on Merritt Island is seeking an experienced Industrial Automation professional to diagnose, troubleshoot and modify electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and safety control systems. You will connect and integrate equipment to support IIoT initiatives and work with the Factory Automation team to optimize automated systems.

The role requires 3+ years in CNC control systems, automation software environments, and safety systems, with a solid ability to read electrical and mechanical

Qualifications

• 3+ years developing, modifying, or troubleshooting industrial CNC control systems (e.g., Siemens 840D-SL, FANUC 30i/31i/32i).
• 3+ years of experience with controls and automation software development environments (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, FANUC PMC, etc.).
• 3+ years of experience with common automation control systems (e.g., PLCs, Robots, CNC).
• Familiarity with industrial safety systems (e.g., Siemens SI, FANUC DCS).
• Understanding of Functional Safety.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and review electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosis, troubleshooting and modification of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and safety control systems.
• Diagnosis, troubleshooting and modification of program logic.
• Connect and integrate new and existing equipment into Blue networks to support IIoT initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Factory Automation team to optimize existing automated equipment.
