Job summary

Weyerhaeuser’s Philadelphia, MS Lumber site seeks a Senior Process Control Technician to support advanced electrical and controls systems. You will program PLCs, develop HMIs, and troubleshoot automation across the manufacturing line.

The role focuses on safety, process reliability, and continuous improvement, working closely with site leadership. Flexibility for shifts and non-business hours is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least age 18 and have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have 5 years of industrial electrical/process control experience and/or an electrical degree plus equivalent work experience.
• Pre-employment drug screen, background check & physical required.
• Able to work various shifts including weekends, overtime, and holidays.
• Comfortable in high temperatures, dusty/noisy conditions, with safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mid to high level PLC programming and HMI development for existing equipment and new installations.
• Implement, test, troubleshoot, and improve electronic automation and controls systems to boost production and quality.
• Use schematics, documentation, and testing equipment to diagnose and resolve malfunctions.
• Provide design input for new projects to ensure proper electrical and control system implementation.
• Collaborate with mill leadership to identify optimal solutions for equipment problems.
• Maintain Ethernet networks across machines and site.
• Assist IT with security updates and patching for control equipment.
