Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. in Knoxville, TN, seeks a Senior Automation Controls Engineer to lead site automation, controls, and industrial systems. You will drive reliability, optimize equipment, and mentor teams across maintenance, engineering, quality, and IT.

The role requires leading projects from concept to implementation, establishing standards, and leveraging data-driven decisions to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial automation and controls.
• Strong experience with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix) and HMIs.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, robotics, and vision systems.
• Experience leading automation projects and equipment commissioning.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, TPM, and Lean methods.
• Collaborates with OEMs, system integrators, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as site SME for PLCs, HMI/SCADA, networks, motion control, robotics, and drives.
• Design, program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC/HMI applications.
• Lead automation projects from concept through commissioning.
• Develop automation standards and engineering best practices.
• Drive reliability through RCCA, preventive/predictive maintenance, and Kaizen events.
• Mentor maintenance and controls teams and partner with cross-functional functions.
