Job summary
Skydio is looking for a highly motivated Automation / Controls Engineer based in San Mateo, California. This role focuses on designing and supporting automated manufacturing systems to enhance drone production efficiency. Your responsibilities will include programming PLCs, maintaining control systems, and integrating robotics to improve production performance.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 4–5+ years in industrial automation. Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on experience with SCADA systems are essential for success in this role.
Qualifications
- 4–5+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
- Hands-on experience with SCADA systems, preferably Ignition.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain control systems for automated manufacturing.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system performance.
