Job summary

The Timken Company Lincolnton, NC is seeking an electrical engineer to drive productivity and product quality in a highly automated manufacturing environment. You will lead projects from concept through installation, develop plans and budgets, coordinate internal teams, procure parts, train operators, and document processes to support operations.

Responsibilities include driving continuous improvement, delivering cost reductions, and ensuring safety while meeting customer expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; electrical fundamentals focus.
  • Strong PLC and HMI troubleshooting and programming skills.
  • Experience with 2D CAD drafting (AutoCAD) and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering projects from concept to installation, planning and budgeting.
  • Coordinate internal teams, procurement, and training for automated operations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, data collection, and problem solving for continuous improvement.
  • Improve plant productivity and product quality through cost reduction initiatives.
  • Collaborate with contractors and maintenance for innovative, cost-effective solutions.
