Job summary

Timken is seeking an Electrical/Automation Engineer at its Lincolnton, NC manufacturing plant to lead projects from concept through installation. You will develop project plans and budgets, coordinate internal teams, procure parts, train operators, and debug equipment to support highly automated operations.

You will drive productivity, improve product quality, and safety while delivering projects on schedule and within budget, with strong emphasis on equipment reliability and continuous

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in electrical engineering or related field.
• Ability to apply electrical fundamentals to troubleshooting, operation and design.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming skills.
• Strong HMI troubleshooting and programming skills.
• Experience with VFD and servo drive controls.
• Experience with 2D drafting software such as AutoCAD.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead projects.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Increase plant productivity by implementing continuous improvement plans for the manufacturing plant.
• Increase product quality by meeting customer (internal/external) expectations.
• Lead and manage projects to meet goals within time and budget.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and maintenance for cost-effective solutions.
• Improve equipment reliability using failure analysis, lean manufacturing, and design.
