Qualifications

• 5+ years engineering experience in building controls and troubleshooting control systems.
• Robot programming experience; Fanuc preferred.
• Vision programming with Cognex and Fanuc IRVision preferred.
• Experience with PLC protocols: Allen Bradley RSLogix, Siemens Step 5 & 7, GE Machine Edition and Mitsubishi.
• Experience networking with DeviceNet, Profibus, ProfiNet, Ethernet, Ethernet/IP.
• Experience setting up HMI screens/panels and VFD drives from ABB, Parker, AB, Yaskawa, Siemens.
• Strong communication skills and project-lead capability; customer interface experience.
• Knowledge of safety standards: NFPA 79 and 70E; OSHA awareness.
• BS in Engineering or 5+ years of manufacturing controls experience.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design of complete automation systems using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Designs include power distribution, I/O, communications, and panel layouts; PLC and robot programming.
• Lead startup projects from start to finish with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage time and costs to meet budget and schedule.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment; implement maintenance plans.
• Wire and repair motors; maintain and troubleshoot AC drive systems and PLCs.
• Provide safety guidance and ensure proper lockout/tagout procedures.
