Job summary

Cerro Wire LLC, part of Marmon Holdings, seeks a qualified Automation Engineer to design and implement complete automation solutions for our manufacturing lines. You will lead PLC/robot programming efforts, integrate with HMI and drive systems, and serve as the main interface with customers during design reviews and runoffs.

Applicants should have a BS in Engineering and 2–5+ years in building controls, with hands-on experience in Allen Bradley, Siemens, and GE/Mitsubishi platforms, plus

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required with 2–5+ years in building controls and troubleshooting.
• Experience with PLC protocols (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, Mitsubishi) and HMI design.
• Robot programming experience (Fanuc preferred) and vision systems knowledge.
• Proficiency with industrial networks and drive systems; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design of automation systems including power, I/O, and panel layouts.
• Lead PLC and robot programming, integration with HMIs, and start-up activities.
• Direct electrical assembly during equipment builds and installations.
• Plan maintenance and troubleshoot complex manufacturing equipment.
• Lead customer reviews and ensure safety standards compliance.
