Job summary

Corning is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead design, development, and deployment of advanced automation, motion control, robotics, and process-control systems across a global manufacturing footprint.

You will drive productivity, reliability, and process capability improvements, mentoring teams and coordinating technology transfers from R&D into high-volume production. Role based in Harrodsburg, KY or Corning, NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in automation and controls.
• 7-10 years in industrial controls and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects on motion systems, automation integration, and process controls.
• Design and implement PLC-based control and safety systems.
• Interface with system integrators and machine builders for full solutions.
• Drive productivity and process capability improvements via controls.
• Mentor teams and promote best practices in controls development.
• Coordinate technology transfer from development to production.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and customer requirements.
