Job summary

Nashville Door is seeking a skilled Door Technician to diagnose, repair, and install commercial door and entrance systems in the Nashville area. You will embody our core values while servicing facilities and ensuring doors operate to code.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience with commercial doors, strong mechanical aptitude, and the willingness to work overtime, weekends, and rotating on‑call shifts. AAADM certification is required and a valid driver’s license is a must.

Qualifications

• 2+ years installing or servicing automatic and manual commercial doors or related trades.
• Mechanical aptitude with hand/power tools; diagnose mechanical and low‑voltage electrical issues.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and participate in rotating on‑call schedule.
• Physical: lift 75 lbs, climb ladders, stand for long periods.
• HS diploma/GED; valid driver’s license with clean record; pass background and drug screen.
• Current AAADM Certification and growth mindset to learn new tech.

Responsibilities

• Service and install automatic doors, manual storefronts, revolving doors and other entrance products on‑site.
• Meet with customers before and after work to review scope, findings, and preventive recommendations.
• Complete dispatches, work orders, notes and time logs; submit parts requests and paperwork promptly.
• Manage parts and materials on your service vehicle; keep a clean, safe jobsite.
• Follow OSHA, AAADM, and company safety standards; ensure doors meet code.
• Model core values in every call and promote teamwork and continuous improvement.
