Job summary

Industrial Door Company in Northern California is seeking an Automatic Door Technician to install, repair, service, and maintain automatic doors and entrance systems across customer sites. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience, strong tooling skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience installing or servicing automatic doors or similar systems.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently in field environments.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to accurately complete service documentation and work orders.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work in non-climate-controlled environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, service, and maintain automatic doors and entrance systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, low-voltage, sensor, activation, and control-related issues.
• Diagnose equipment problems and recommend solutions to improve system performance.
• Meet with customers on-site to review completed work and ensure satisfaction.
• Complete service calls, work orders, and job documentation accurately and on time.
• Track parts, materials, and labor while coordinating with office support staff.
• Maintain inventory and organization of your company-issued service vehicle (not a take-home vehicle).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional job site at all times.
