Job summary

Vortex Doors, America’s leading commercial and industrial door service provider, seeks an Experienced Commercial Door Technician with 4+ years in the industry to join our field team. You will install, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of doors, docks, and related hardware with a focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, configuring hardware and access systems, maintaining accurate service records, and communicating with customers to offer cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in the commercial door service industry.
• Excellent mechanical and technical skills.
• Physically able to move items weighing 50 lbs or more and operate power tools.
• Able to read measurements and use tape measures accurately.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial doors, docks, and related hardware.
• Diagnose door issues (springs, hinges, locks, electrical components) and perform repairs.
• Configure door hardware and access control systems; ensure code compliance and safety.
• Provide customer service by explaining repairs and offering solutions.
• Maintain records of service visits and prepare reports as required.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure unsurpassed workmanship.
