Job summary

Synergy ECP is seeking an experienced Senior Automated Test Engineer in Sterling, Virginia. The ideal candidate will support automated testing in a secure cloud-based environment and must have a Bachelor's degree and over 10 years of experience in automated system testing.

Ideal candidates will hold a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph and have expertise in various scripting languages. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $110,000 to $180,000, along with comprehensive health benefits and a flexible work/life balance.

We Are Looking For

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automated Test Engineer to support the design, development, and execution of automated testing solutions in a secure cloud-based environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with test automation frameworks, scripting, and system validation while supporting Agile development teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 10+ years of experience designing and executing automated system testing
• DoD 8140 compliant (Security+ CE certification at minimum)
• Demonstrated expertise delivering automated testing solutions on projects of similar scope
• Experience developing scripts using:
  • Selenium
  • Cucumber
  • Bash
  • PowerShell
  • Ansible
  • Groovy (Jenkins)
• Expertise with test automation frameworks including:
  • Linear Frameworks
  • Modular Frameworks
  • Data-Driven Frameworks
  • Behavior-Driven Frameworks
• Understanding of load testing versus functional testing and the ability to analyze test results
• Knowledge of security requirements within secure environments
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Jira
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong technical documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience with cloud platforms including Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, or IBM Cloud
• Experience with:
  • IBM Enterprise Lifecycle Management
  • TeamWork Cloud/Cameo
  • Microsoft Project
  • Tableau
• Experience working with Grafana or similar monitoring and visualization tools
• Experience working within ServiceNow environments
• Ability to understand relationships, dependencies, and requirements across cloud, infrastructure, security, and hybrid service domains
