Job summary

Senior Auto Maintenance Tech at Cox Automotive – USA, based at a Cox location in Dallas, TX. You will perform heavy duty work and serve as a level 1–2 auto tech, performing diagnostics, clutch and transmission work, and coordinating with parts to secure needed materials.

Qualifications

• Safe drivers with a valid driver’s license.
• 5+ years of automotive service and repair experience.
• Ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy duty work and the duties of a level 1 and 2 auto tech.
• Work independently or in a team environment.
• Performing advanced diagnostics.
• Clutch and transmission replacement.
• Identify required parts and partner with parts & procurement teams to acquire necessary parts, supplies and materials.
• Alert team lead/management about difficult issues, patterns and trends.
• May upfit new vehicles with necessary equipment.
• May be required to perform OEM recalls.

Skills

5+ years automotive service experience

Valid driver’s license

Education

High school diploma or GED

ASE Certifications A1-9 and L1 (emission states)
