Job summary

AutoZone, Inc. in Middletown, KY is seeking a Senior Retail Sales Associate to deliver WOW! customer service, assist customers with automotive parts, and support store operations.

You'll build product knowledge, work with the team to hit sales goals, provide safe, efficient service including assistance with installations and basic diagnostics, and contribute to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment that helps customers make the right choice.

Qualifications

• Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
• Automotive Knowledge: Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, load and deliver merchandise.
• Flexible Schedule: Full-time flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Exceptional Communication: Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Automotive Retail: Previous experience in automotive retail
• Certifications: ASE Certification

Responsibilities

• Customer Assistance & Communication – Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and ensure positive interactions.
• Leadership & Teamwork – Collaborate with managers and teammates to create a motivated, productive store environment.
• Sales & Metrics Mindedness – Recommend products, services, and promotions to enhance customer experience, while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Inventory Management & Store Operations – Restock merchandise, maintain organization, and follow proper cash handling procedures, loss prevention policies ensuring proper financial management.
• Process Orientation & Safety Compliance – Utilize structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently. Follow company safety policies and use PPE to maintain a secure work environment.
• Product Knowledge & Installation Services – Stay up-to-date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems. Assist customers with installation of wiper blades, batteries, and lights.
• Diagnostics Support – Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
