Job summary

Amerisure is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Auto & General Liability Claims Adjuster in Georgia. This hybrid onsite role requires three days in the office and involves handling mid‑complexity auto and GL claims, collaborating with agents, policyholders, and counsel.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 3+ years of relevant experience, and be prepared to obtain state licensure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of experience handling general liability and/or bodily injury claims of medium complexity/severity.
• AIC or SLA certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain required state licensing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships internally and with external customers.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel overnight up to 10% and travel daily between locations.

• Investigate losses, identify coverage, evaluate liability and damages, and review legal pleadings and documents.
• Develop a plan of action to proactively conclude claims, evaluate damages in a timely manner, engage parties in negotiations, and settle claims in accordance with guidelines.
• Establish and maintain reserves for each claim to accurately reflect financial exposure.
• Determine the need for, identify, and engage external resources as required while monitoring costs.
• Collaborate with internal partners on contractual indemnifications and additional insured coverage issues.
• Collaborate with counsel to manage litigated claims.
• Review and interpret commercial insurance policies and communicate coverage issues verbally and in writing.
