Job summary

Redeemer's Auto in Houston, TX is seeking an A-Level Automotive Technician to handle advanced diagnostics and major mechanical repairs on all makes, including diesel vehicles. This role pays $36–$45 per flagged hour under a hybrid flat-rate plan with a 30-hour weekly guarantee.

You will work in a busy shop of 10 bays with Tekmetric for shop management, enjoy weekly training, paid time off after 90 days, paid holidays, a health stipend, and weekly lunches with the team.

Qualifications

• Advanced automotive diagnostic experience.
• Experience with engine and transmission replacements.
• Experience with head gasket, cylinder head, timing belt, and timing component repairs.
• Ability to complete major repairs independently from diagnosis to completion.
• Experience performing Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI).
• Strong computer skills and digital shop processes.
• Must have the tools required to perform the assigned automotive diagnostic and repair work.
• ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and identify repairs needed to resolve vehicle concerns.
• Complete major engine and transmission repairs, including replacement.
• Perform head gasket, cylinder head, timing belt, and timing component repairs.
• Complete repairs independently from diagnosis through completion.
• Perform and document Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) using Tekmetric.
• Service and repair a variety of makes/models, including diesel vehicles.
• Maintain productivity while delivering quality workmanship.
• Collaborate with the shop team to support a steady workflow.
