Santander Consumer USA Inc. is seeking a Senior Underwriter to manage credit risk for a portfolio of complex multi-dealer groups. You will underwrite loans by analyzing dealer financial statements and cash flow, ensuring compliance with underwriting standards and bank regulations.

You will independently prepare proposals, coordinate annual renewals, and drive the end-to-end underwriting process across multiple loans, while collaborating with internal partners to obtain required data.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 9+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, credit structuring and commercial dealership credit underwriting.
• Experience evaluating credit risk and lending requests within a commercial banking environment.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience preparing reports or credit findings with high accuracy.

Responsabilidades

• Independently underwrites and prepares accurate proposals or modifications.
• Manages annual renewal and new loan requests with urgency while multi-tasking.
• Handles end-to-end underwriting process for renewals, modifications, and new opportunities.
• Receives and reviews loan applications via portals or other channels.
• Analyzes dealership financial statements, cash flow, and collateral.
• Monitors portfolio and data with internal partners to complete analysis.
• Reviews loan inquiries and responds to client requests.
• Reviews and manages past due and coming due loan reports.
• Applies policies and guidelines to loan analysis.
• Reviews credit memos before submission to management.
