Farmers Insurance in Plymouth County, MA seeks an Auto Appraiser to inspect damaged vehicles, establish losses and negotiate settlements with customers and repair facilities.

You will work independently or with claim owners to investigate coverage, manage complex auto losses, and mentor junior adjusters while maintaining timely communication.

A MA Auto Appraiser License is required; high school diploma with automotive-related degree preferred; competitive salary with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; automotive degree preferred.
• 36 months of APD estimating experience or demonstrable proficiency.
• Advanced knowledge of body and mechanical repair/replace operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and appraise damaged property using estimates software.
• Complete auto repair estimates and adjust repair facility estimates.
• Manage repair processes and auto repair supplements.
• Explain total loss process and settle total loss claims.
• Communicate with policyholders, claimants, repair facilities and attorneys.
