Job summary

LER TechForce, LLC seeks a Principal Calibration Engineer in Columbus, Indiana, with frequent U.S. travel. The role leads automotive calibration development to optimize engine control algorithms and performance, and guides test planning for embedded controls and diagnostics.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive improvement plans, stay current with new tech, and coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver robust, safe engine software solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 4 years of engineering/technical experience including MATLAB, Simulink, and engine calibration.
• Experience with HIL testing, CAN/LIN/TCP-IP, and data analysis.
• Experience with product lifecycle tools (Windchill, PTC Integrity, or SAP).
• Alternative: Bachelor's degree with 6 years of relevant progressive experience in engineering/technical roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead calibration development projects to calibrate engine control algorithms and improve engine performance.
• Create and execute test plans for embedded controls and diagnostic features.
• Coach and mentor entry-level calibration engineers and conduct peer reviews.
• Coordinate inputs from internal and external customers to ensure needs are understood.
