Job summary

Crash Champions in Mountain View, CA is seeking a skilled collision repair technician to examine damage, plan repairs, and perform quality body work while maintaining on-time status.

You will work with a team, direct an apprentice when needed, and participate in safety meetings. Requirements include using a frame machine, body repair certification, and I-CAR welding certification. We offer competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience using a frame machine and performing body repairs.
• Certification in body repair preferred and I-CAR welding certification.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Communicates repair status with team.
• Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status.
• Decides on repair vs. replacement considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Removes upholstery, electrical components, and trim to access fenders.
• Participates in safety meetings.
• Directs an apprentice and explains procedures to assistants.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
