Actalent is seeking a Sr. Machine Design Engineer to lead design efforts on custom automated equipment for the automotive sector. You will apply FEA, GD&T, and 3D CAD to partner with customers from concept through testing of complex machines.

The role involves working with mechanical and electrical components, including gearboxes, motors, and load cells, and supporting manufacturing and assembly while driving on-time delivery and design iterations.

Qualificações

• BSME with 5+ years’ experience or 5–10 years of machine design experience without a degree.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Solidworks or Inventor).
• Experience with FEA and GD&T.
• Hydraulics or Pneumatics experience.
• Experience with custom automation equipment.
• Excellent communication and client-facing experience.
• Strong mathematical experience.

Responsabilidades

• Work on custom automated equipment primarily for the automotive industry.
• Utilize FEA, GD&T, and 3D CAD to collaborate with customers in concepting, designing, and testing complex machines.
• Work with mechanical and electrical equipment, including gearboxes, electric motors, and load cells.
• Support manufacturing and assembly processes for multiple projects, ensuring timelines are met and design changes are implemented.
