Job summary

Mercury Insurance Auto Appraiser Sr is responsible for traveling within the Bay Area, Oakland, Pleasanton, and San Ramon to inspect and evaluate vehicle damage for first- and third-party claims. You will estimate repair costs, present settlements, and stay current on vehicle values and market trends.

The role requires 2 years of auto appraising experience, strong communication, and knowledge of Mitchell or CCC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 6 months technical training.
• 2 years auto appraising experience; knowledge of Mitchell or CCC.
• May require company-sponsored Adjuster license upon hire.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with customers and repair facilities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and evaluate vehicle damage for first- and third-party claims.
• Present estimates and negotiate settlements with repair facilities.
• Research vehicle values and repair costs using current market data.
• Take photos and prepare reports; support documentation for claims.
• Maintain communication with clients throughout the repair process.
