Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Auto Claims Adjuster in the Bryan-College Station area to investigate, evaluate, and settle auto damage claims. You will use CCC and other digital tools, communicate with insureds and vendors, and manage complex files while ensuring regulatory and policy compliance.
The role requires 2+ years of auto appraising experience, Texas All-Lines license, and the ability to handle face-to-face interactions and potential on-call shifts.
• Investigate, negotiate, evaluate and appraise vehicle damage claims for repairable and total loss vehicles
• Evaluate highly complex auto physical damage claims using digital tools in accordance with contracts, guidelines, and state laws
• Investigate claim damages and communicate with insureds, internal claims adjusters, third parties, and vendors
• Conduct face-to-face interactions with members and third parties when required
• Review facts of loss and vehicle damage for subrogation opportunities
• Ensure supporting physical damage documentation is included in claim files
• Apply advanced knowledge of P&C insurance products, contracts, processes, systems, and procedures
• Review claims and suppliers for fraud indicators and refer applicable matters to the Special Investigations Unit
• Maintain accurate and current claim file documentation
• Manage desk workload, follow up timely, and map repair plans and timelines accurately
• Review additional damage from repair facilities and complete supplements or triage inspections to field providers
• Serve as a subject matter expert for disputed claims or trials and resource team members on escalated issues
• Partner with vendors and internal business partners to resolve highest-complexity claims
• Coordinate with external regulators when needed to ensure documentation and compliance
• Provide policyholders information about coverage, repair estimates, total loss valuations, and the claims/repair process
• Support workload surges and catastrophe response operations, including mandatory on-call dates and potential evening, weekend, or holiday work
• Travel with minimal notice for catastrophe deployments when assigned
• Handle various claim types and additional work outside normal duties as needed
• Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures

Core Competencies
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance products, claims processes, and auto appraisal methodologies. Proficient in evaluating complex vehicle damage claims and communicating effectively with various stakeholders.
