Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum five years of medical office experience with authorization/pre-certification.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD-9 coding.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and secure pre-certifications and pre-authorizations for procedures, testing and medications.
• Communicate with referring providers, insurers, and clinical departments to streamline scheduling.
• Triage and transcribe patient calls, schedule outpatient appointments.
• Enter detailed documentation in the EMR and provide patient guidance throughout the process.
• Support other specialists and resolve complex authorization issues to ensure workflow efficiency.
