Job summary

Wipfli in Minneapolis seeks a seasoned auditor to join our Assurance practice. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with in-office, client-site, and remote work options. You will lead audits, engage in planning, and mentor junior staff while upholding GAAS, GAAP, PCAOB, AICPA, and SOX standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in accounting, CPA eligible or certified, and 1–3 years of accounting experience, with strong communication and travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; must meet CPA education requirements.
• CPA certification preferred; candidates pursuing CPA considered.
• 1–3 years of accounting-related experience.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work across multiple tasks.
• Adaptable to various client complexities across people, processes and systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel to client sites up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Audit financial statements, quarterly financial information, and clients' annual reports.
• Participate in pre-audit planning to assess risk of material misstatement.
• Identify accounting and audit issues and perform research to resolve them.
• Test internal controls, policies, and procedures; make recommendations.
• Perform audits under GAAS, GAAP, PCAOB, AICPA auditing standards, and SOX.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate with clients and peers.
• Teach, train, and develop incoming staff and interns.
