Wipfli, a leading accounting and advisory firm, seeks an auditor to join our Minneapolis-area team. You will audit financial statements, assist in planning, and research accounting issues while ensuring compliance with GAAS, GAAP, PCAOB, AICPA, and SOX.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, 1–3 years of experience, and up to 50% travel to client sites. CPA certification is preferred or actively pursued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; CPA certification preferred or actively pursuing CPA.
• 1–3 years of accounting-related experience.
• Ability to travel to client sites up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Audit financial statements, quarterly financial information, and clients' annual reports.
• Participate in pre-audit planning to assess risk of material misstatement and design procedures.
• Identify issues and perform research to resolve them.
• Test internal controls, policies, and procedures; provide recommendations.
• Audit in accordance with GAAS, GAAP, PCAOB, AICPA, and SOX standards.
• Build relationships and communicate with clients and colleagues.
• Teach, train, and develop incoming staff and interns.
