Job summary

Sun Recruiting in Beachwood, OH, a hybrid full-time Senior Auditor role, seeks an experienced accounting professional to lead diverse audit engagements and mentor staff. You will prepare workpapers and financial statements in GAAP or OCBOA, participate in planning, and drive improvements in internal controls.

CPA preferred, 3–4 years in public accounting, strong analytical and organizational skills essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
• 3-4 years of progressive experience in public accounting.
• CPA certification or active candidacy is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including CCH Engagement, Creative Solutions Fixed Assets, PPC Checkpoint Tools, and QuickBooks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute diverse accounting and auditing assignments with minimal supervision.
• Guide and mentor staff accountants, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to professional standards.
• Prepare comprehensive workpapers and financial statements in compliance with GAAP or OCBOA.
• Actively participate in the planning and scheduling of client engagements, ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
• Provide insightful recommendations for improving client internal controls and operational procedures.
• Communicate effectively with clients to facilitate seamless and minimally disruptive engagements.
