Job summary

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission is seeking a senior field auditor to perform complex audits, investigations, inspections and educational initiatives across alcohol regulations. You will work with limited supervision and participate in a New Auditor’s Academy program within the first year.

Office-based role with potential for hybrid telework after probation and travel for field duties as required by division needs. Strong preference for CPA/CFA certifications and prior auditing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, management or marketing; 12 accounting/auditing hours with 6 in accounting.
• Associates degree option requires 9 accounting/finance hours with 6 in accounting; two years’ accounting/auditing experience if pursuing with an associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex tax, fee, and regulatory audits with minimal errors under limited supervision.
• Develop administrative cases for cash and credit law and assist in case settlement.
• Conduct inspections of licensed locations for compliance with Alcoholic Beverage Code and Rules.
• Prepare statements or affidavits and support investigations across divisions.
• Assist with education initiatives and marketing inquiries related to regulatory practices.
