Wipfli in Chicago is seeking an Audit Associate to conduct audits of financial statements and related information. The role involves planning, evaluating controls, and applying GAAS/GAAP standards across client engagements.

The position requires 1–3 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, and the ability to travel up to 50% to client sites. CPA certification is preferred, with opportunities for CPA track and professional development.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required; must meet educational requirements to sit for CPA.
• CPA certification preferred; candidates actively pursuing CPA will be considered.
• 1–3 years of accounting-related experience.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work on multiple tasks.

Mansioni

• Audit financial statements, quarterly financial information, and clients' annual reports.
• Take part in pre-audit planning to assess the risk of material misstatement of financial accounts to design effective audit procedures.
• Identify accounting and audit issues and perform research to solve issues.
• Responsible for testing internal controls, policies, and procedures and making recommendations.
• Perform audits under GAAS, GAAP, PCAOB, AICPA auditing standards, and SOX.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate with clients and associates.
• Teach, train, and develop incoming staff/interns.
