Job summary

The Municipality of Anchorage, Internal Audit department, invites applications for a position performing compliance and performance audits both on and off-site under the supervision of the Director of Internal Audit. The role requires advancing audit work papers and reports and adherence to Government Auditing standards.

Minimum qualifications include education in accounting/auditing and progressive experience as described: high school diploma with 7 years, associate degree with 5 years, or

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 7 years of auditing experience.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration, or related; 5 years auditing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration, Public Administration or related; 3 years auditing experience.
• Satisfactory background check including criminal, education and employment history at time of hire.
• Valid Alaska Driver’s License and satisfactory Driving Record at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs compliance and performance audits under the supervision of the Director of Internal Audit.
• Prepares audit work papers and reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related discipline

Associate's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration, or a related discipline

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
