Job summary

Qualifications

Premier Financial Search is partnering with a highly respected Southern California public accounting firm to identify an experienced Audit Senior with a strong background serving not-for-profit organizations.

Candidates must be willing to work from either the Irvine or Long Beach office approximately three days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Lead audit engagements for a variety of clients, with a strong emphasis on not-for-profit organizations, from planning through completion.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while coordinating engagement timelines, budgets, and overall project execution.
• Supervise, mentor, and review the work of staff accountants, providing coaching and guidance to support their professional development.
• Review financial statements, evaluate internal controls, and identify accounting or operational issues while recommending practical solutions.
• Partner with managers and firm leadership to deliver high-quality client service and ensure engagements are completed efficiently and in accordance with professional standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 3+ years of recent public accounting audit experience, including not-for-profit audit experience.
• Experience leading audit engagements, managing multiple priorities, and supervising junior staff.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and financial statement preparation, along with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• CPA license or active pursuit of certification preferred, with the ability to work a hybrid schedule (approximately three days per week) from the Irvine or Long Beach office.

Compensation:

$95,000–$100,000+ DOE, plus paid overtime and an outstanding benefits package.
