Job summary

Brewer Morris, a well-established Orange County CPA and consulting firm, is seeking an Audit Manager or experienced Audit Senior to support growth and succession planning as a senior leader approaches retirement.

This is a unique opportunity to join a highly specialized audit practice serving educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and employee benefit plans with exposure to complex engagements.

Qualifications

• Public accounting audit experience required.
• CPA not required for Senior level.
• Active CPA required for Manager level consideration.

Audit Manager / Experienced Audit Senior

Location: Lake Forest, CA (Relocating to Irvine, CA in the near future)

Schedule: Hybrid, 2-4 days in office depending on workload and client needs

Compensation: 100,000 – 160,000

This is a unique opportunity to join a highly specialized audit practice serving educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and employee benefit plans while gaining exposure to complex compliance and regulatory engagements.

What You'll Be Working On

• Financial statement audits for nonprofit and for-profit post-secondary educational institutions
• Federal compliance and reporting engagements
• Employee benefit plan and retirement plan audits
• Audits for organizations ranging from small institutions to multi-hundred-million-dollar entities
• Client relationship management and engagement oversight
• Mentoring and developing junior staff

No prior education-sector audit experience is required. The firm is open to candidates from a variety of public accounting backgrounds and is willing to provide training and industry-specific exposure.

Work-Life Balance

• Audit Seniors rarely exceed 52 hours per week during busy season
• Overtime is available and paid when applicable
• Managers only occasionally reach 60-hour weeks
