Senior Audit Associate | Austin | $85k - $95k

Audit work can feel pretty similar from one CPA firm to the next.

What usually makes the biggest difference is the people around you.

This firm has built a really strong reputation for that side of things. Partners are approachable, people actually know each other, and you’re trusted to get on with your work without someone constantly hovering over you.

You can talk to a Partner about a client issue, career progression or probably whatever happened in the game last night.

That might sound like a small thing. It really isn’t.

Progression here also isn’t based on waiting politely for your turn. If you’re performing well and taking on more responsibility, there’s room to move forward. A lot of the current Partners have grown through the firm themselves, which probably tells you more about the career path than any fancy progression chart ever could.

The firm has multiple offices across the US, including a strong presence in Austin, and they’ve made a conscious decision to remain independent rather than getting swept up in the merger activity happening across Public Accounting.

So you get some of the resources and client exposure of a larger firm, without feeling like employee number 4,782.

They’re now looking for a Senior Audit Associate to join the Austin team.

Ideally, you’ll have at least 3 years of Public Accounting audit experience, with your CPA completed or underway.

Experience with Affordable Housing clients would be particularly useful, although it’s not necessarily the only background they’ll consider.
