Job summary

Truist is seeking an Audit Quality Assurance Manager to independently execute risk-based QA reviews of Audit Delivery Team assurance activities within the QAIP scope. The role evaluates audit quality, risk coverage, and support for key judgments, providing candid feedback to strengthen Truist Audit Services methodology.

The candidate will coach staff, apply professional judgment, and manage multiple QA reviews with clear documentation, escalation, and leadership communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or related field or equivalent education and related training or experience.
• Six to eight years of banking, auditing or other relevant experience related to area of responsibility.
• Strong knowledge, ability and expertise in audit and other areas of banking and financial services.
• Strong understanding of risk management and process concepts.

Responsibilities

• Execute independent, risk-based quality assurance reviews of complex Audit Delivery Team (ADT) assurance activities and issue validations to evaluate audit quality, risk coverage, execution, and alignment with applicable methodology and professional standards.
• Evaluate key aspects of assurance activities, including planning and scoping, risk and control assessment, testing approaches and execution, audit evidence, identified issues, and conclusions to assess whether key risks are appropriately addressed and conclusions are supported by the work performed.
• Identify substantive gaps and opportunities for improvement in audit coverage and execution, applying professional judgment and skepticism to assess their significance and potential impact on audit quality.
• Provide objective and effective challenge to Audit Delivery Teams and clearly communicate quality assurance observations, conclusions, and recommendations to audit professionals and leadership.
• Provide candid, constructive feedback and coaching to Audit Delivery Team members and other stakeholders to promote consistent application of audit methodology, sound professional judgment, and continuous improvement in audit quality.
