Job summary

State of Nevada in Carson City seeks an Executive Branch Auditor Manager to lead performance, compliance and financial audits of state agencies in accordance with IIA standards.

The role supervises 2-5 auditors, develops audit plans, and ensures timely reporting to agency leadership and the Governor’s Finance Office. CPA or CIIA credentials with substantial auditing leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• CPA licensure plus 4 years of professional auditing experience, or a Master's degree with 5 years of auditing including leadership of large audits.
• Alternative: CIIA certification with 5 years of auditing experience including compliance, financial, or performance audits.
• Or one year of experience as Executive Branch Auditor III in Nevada state service with the relevant education/certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise audits of executive branch agencies.
• Prepare and present final audit reports to management and the Executive Branch Audit Committee.
• Oversee staff of 2-5 auditors and ensure adherence to IIA standards.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate assigned personnel.
